In the wake of Miss Piggy singing Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money,” comes Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem giving their all to a cover of Kool & the Gang’s “Jungle Boogie.” The track is so catchy that even staid Sam the Eagle can’t help but boogie on down to the beat.
While the original Muppet mash-ups came courtesy of YouTube star Mylo the Cat, the latest iteration comes from the Muppet mothership itself. The Muppets have teamed up with YouTube Space L.A. for a series of videos to pave the way for the Great Muppet Revival when the “more adult” reboot hits ABC’s TV lineup this fall. (You can watch a trailer here.)
If more adult means more Muppet mash-ups, well, as they say, it’s time to start the music, it’s time to light the lights, it’s time to get things started on the new Muppet Show.
