Earl is a puggle, a beagle and pug mix, sporting a permanently frowny face. According to [Yahoo! U.K.](https://uk.news.yahoo.com/grumpy-cat-dethroned-grumpy-puppy-113149725.html#X7nmddZ "undefined"), Derek Bloomfield, the owner of the 5-month-old puppy, recently posted photos of Earl’s pouting mug online, and the ravenous animal lovers of the Web went wild. The newly proclaimed “Grumpy Puppy” now has his own [Instagram](https://instagram.com/earlthegrumpypuppy/ "undefined"), and he is quickly amassing followers. While his scowl may say otherwise, Earl is actually a relaxed and friendly dog – who just has a seriously silly-looking underbite. “The vet said he’s as healthy as any other puppy. He just looks grumpy because of his underbite, wrinkles and dark complexion,” Bloomfield said. “He is the most relaxed, content puppy either one of us has ever seen.” “Whenever he wants something he’ll calmly sit down and stare at us until we ask him the right question.
