[Reports surfaced](http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/6547460/Zayn-Malik-ditched-from-Syco-by-Cowell.html "undefined") earlier Thursday that Malik was set to be ousted from the Sony label shared with his former band and to another label in the Sony family. For now, the 22-year-old and Syco are still associated. When reached for comment, a Syco spokesperson told _EW,_ “Zayn is still with Syco.” Syco has released all four of One Direction’s albums to date and is set to guide Malik as he launches his solo career after leaving 1D [in March](http://www.ew.com/article/2015/03/25/zayn-malik-leaves-one-direction "undefined").
