In honor of Pope Francis’s visit to Paraguay this weekend, Paraguayans have created a free Internet game called “Papa Road,” in which the goal is to steer his car — aka the Popemobile — down a road without hitting any potholes. Though if the pixelated Pontiff does hit any, an image of the country’s president, Horacio Cartes, will appear and encourage him to keep going.
The game’s developer, Jose Manuel Gonzalez, told AFP that the game is a spoof of Paraguay’s prep for the papal visit, arguing that officials have been sprucing up the roads he will use while ignoring others that desperately need to be repaired.
Paraguay is the last stop on his South American tour, which included visits to Bolivia and Ecuador earlier this week.
