Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is continuing to draw massive crowds on the campaign trail, leading him to strike a triumphant tone on the stump. But if history is any guide, he will have difficulty sustaining his momentum, owing to difficulty expanding his message to less-liberal Democratic voters. His primary opponent, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton opened up ever-so-slightly in her first national television interview Tuesday, rejecting the notion that she contributed to the widely held perception that she is untrustworthy and weighing in on placing a woman on the $20 bill. In the interview, she lumped former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush in with the GOP’s more conservative voices on immigration, which came as news to Bush, who has been coming under attack for his positions for years. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who will announce his presidential bid on Monday, will visit all four early states next week, culminating in a three-day Iowa swing—reinforcing the Hawkeye State’s centrality to his path to the nomination. And Sen. Lindsey Graham takes a swing at Donald Trump.
