The summer of decadent state/county fair food is in full force, between deep-fried Starbucks coffee, macaroni-and-cheese cupcakes, and now, Twinkies topped with caviar.
The 2015 Orange County Fair will be selling a highbrow version of the lowbrow snack, made by Chicken Charlie’s, for $125 in honor of the fair’s 125th anniversary. An Instagram user has already jokingly asked whether the dessert comes with a bottle of Dom Pérignon champagne. The event runs from July 17, 2015 to August 16, 2015.
Despite the myth that Twinkies never expire, it is pretty safe to say that this snack has a very, very short shelf life.
