Taylor Swift is taking matters of press coverage into her own hands.
OK! magazine, a British celebrity tabloid, used Twitter to repeatedly promote a story about Swift making a “pregnancy announcement.”
That “announcement” was one of Swift’s fans posing with her to share their own good news. Swift found the phrasing so misleading that she tweeted a firm rebuttal:
OK! editors did not reply immediately to requests for comment. This is one of the most striking instances yet of Swift, who’s previously criticized the media’s interest in her dating life, standing up for herself in the public eye.
