Did you know Lea DeLaria, known for playing Big Boo on Orange Is the New Black, is also a jazz musician? She stopped by Conan Tuesday night and promoted her upcoming album, House of David, which consists of 12 jazz versions of David Bowie tunes. (The album is available for pre-order here.)
To give a little taste, DeLaria asked Conan to perform a bass line and then she sang an a cappella rendition of Bowie’s 1975 hit “Fame.” Conan gets really into it, and you can tell he’s just excited to be a part of something.
DeLaria also shared a snippet of the studio version of the song on her Instagram:
