With just a couple of weeks to go until the premiere of the new season of True Detective, HBO has released a pair of intense teasers called “Chaos” and “Stand” to give fans a taste of what’s to come.
The 30-second clip called “Chaos” (above) features snippets of dialogue that offers clues about the characters of the all-new cast, played by Rachel McAdams, Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn.
Though there’s no dialogue in the teaser called “Stand” (below) we do see McAdams, Farrell, Kitsch and Vaughn engaged in a series of face-offs and confrontations that quickly build into explosions and violence, suggesting the second season will be as action-packed as the first.
The new season starts on June 21.
