Canadian teen drama fans have something to cry _aboot_. After 14 seasons on TeenNick, the award-winning soap _Degrassi_ is closing its doors.

The network announced today that it will air its last episodes of _Degrassi_ this summer. (The show is not leaving the air altogether; it will continue to be produced, and later episodes will air on a yet-to-be-named US broadcaster.) The show, known for depicting the tough realities of teen life, will go out with a bang in the form of a two week long going-away event. The party is set to start on Monday, July 20th with an hourlong special airing at 9 p.m. Afterwards, TeenNick will air a brand-new episode of _Degrassi_, the first of 12 to air Monday through Friday—culminating on July 31st with the show’s finale and a special called _It Goes There: Degrassi’s Most Talked About Moments_.

The special will feature commentary from cast members, creators, and fans—so if you’re wondering what Mr. Simpson (Stefan Brogren) thought of the gonorrhea outbreak that plagued the school in season 4, or if Jenna (Jessica Tyler) and Clare (Aislinn Paul) were frenemies both on and off-screen, your questions may be answered. If that’s not enough, starting in July fans can visit TeenNick.com to sign a virtual yearbook or submit videos about their favorite _Degrassi_ moments. (Put me down for Manny’s infamous topless mishap).

Remember, though: _Degrassi_ is only leaving TeenNick, not our screens. So while we prepare ourselves for the beginning of the end before a new beginning, let us remember the words of _Degrassi_’s theme song: Whatever it take, we know we can make it through.
