It’s become so popular that the hashtag [#CharlieCharlieChallenge](https://twitter.com/search?q=%23CharlieCharlieChallenge&src=typd) has been tweeted more than [1.8 million times](http://topsy.com/s?q=%23CharlieCharlieChallenge&window=d) — and the topic has recently spiked in search on Google. People — mostly teens — have been sharing clips of their attempts to summon Charlie the demon by asking “Charlie, Charlie are you here?” and waiting to see if their pencil moves toward the words “yes” or “no” scrawled on the paper. The pencils often do move — likely [thanks to gravity](http://www.independent.co.uk/news/weird-news/charlie-charlie-challenge-explained-its-not-a-mexican-demon-being-summoned--its-gravity-10276557.html) — which has led to tons of videos of people screaming in disbelief.
