Metallica frontman James Hetfield took his performance at the 2nd annual Acoustic-4-A-Cure concert to an endearingly sweet place when he decided to play a cover of Adele’s “Crazy for You.” But rather than try to hit Adele’s notes himself, the singer invited his oldest daughter, Cali, on stage to help out.
The proud father than sat behind his acoustic guitar, strumming along while his daughter took the spotlight for the song. The performance was from a May 15 benefit concert held to raise funds for the Pediatric Cancer Program at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. Hetfield and Sammy Hagar founded the concert, which this year included performances from Joe Satriani, Chad Smith, Pat Monahan, and more.
Watch the performance below, which is likely a little quieter than what you can expect from Metallica’s set at Lollapalooza later this year.
