Robert Downey Jr. walked out of a promotional interview after the subject gradually shifted from the upcoming release of Avengers: Age of Ultron to increasingly personal questions.
“It’s just getting a little Diane Sawyer in here,” Downey said, referencing the renowned news anchor, as he walked out on a Channel 4 News reporter whose questions began tilting toward subjects like politics, imprisonment and struggle with addiction.
The interview with presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy, who shared a video of the encounter, starts out amiably enough until Downey’s face visibly drops at the four-minute mark.
