Hillary Clinton’s Father’s Tombstone Knocked Over in Pennsylvania

1 minute read

The tombstone of Hillary Clinton’s father, Hugh Rodham, was upturned in what Pennsylvania police say may have been an act of political vandalism.

“I’m not sure how else it would have fallen over,” Scranton Police Chief Carl Graziano told the Scranton Times-Tribune.

Clinton, who announced her second presidential bid on Sunday, is the Democratic front-runner for the 2016 election. Washburn Street Cemetery caretaker Paul McGloin said the stone had been upright in its proper place on Friday and was fixed by Tuesday afternoon after someone tipped off police about the toppled stone.

“I hope this had nothing to do with politics because that’s just wrong,” McGloin said.
