Now in its second year, Photoville bills itself as “a pop-up village of freight containers transformed into temporary exhibition spaces,” and includes lectures, nightly projections, workshops and a beer garden. Inside our 20 foot-long exhibition space, we’ll be presenting work from Peter van Agtmael’s forthcoming book [_Disco Night Sept 11_](http://store.magnumphotos.com/index.php?main%5Fpage=product%5Finfo&products%5Fid=2418 "undefined"), a look at America’s wars over the past decade and the international and domestic consequences of the conflict. The book, published by [Red Hook Editions](http://redhookeditions.com/ "undefined"), includes photographs taken on assignment for TIME as well as the latest film produced by TIME’s new documentary film unit, [Red Border Films](http://newsfeed.time.com/time-launches-red-border-films/ "undefined"). “I hope the act of making this book does not romanticize violence. If I found any truth in war, I found that in the end, everyone has their own truth,” says van Agtmael.  Since launching on the Chinese video-hosting website Sohu TV in 2009, The Big Bang Theory has racked up 1.3 billion views — equivalent to one view for every person in the country Karl Mehrer The exhibition features large, 3-foot color transparencies on mounted lightboxes. In addition, Bobby Henline, a comedian featured in the film being screened at our show, will be performing a stand-up routine on Thursday and Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in Photoville’s outdoor beer garden. And on Saturday, Sept. 28, Photoville will host [Slideluck XVII](http://photovillenyc.org/screenings/slideluck-nyc-xvii/ "undefined"), a multimedia slideshow curated by TIME’s Director of Photography Kira Pollack and paired with a potluck dinner.
