Kevin Bacon has lived up to his birthright: He is now the spokesperson for the [American Egg Board.](http://incredibleegg.org/kevin-bacon-and-eggs/#)

“Because nobody knows eggs better than Bacon,” the actor tells a woman cooking breakfast while striking a comes-hither pose on her kitchen counter.

The ad might seem a tad overdone, but hopefully the shirt he wears in the campaign goes on sale for the general public.

To reduce any confusion for people who don’t get the pun, Bacon clarifies in a [statement](http://www.adweek.com/adfreak/kevin-bacon-does-ads-eggs-because-what-goes-better-eggs-bacon-163436): “With a last name like Bacon, I’m the obvious choice, and I’m excited to be a part of the new Incredible Edible Egg campaign… and I’ve always been a big fan of eggs. They’re a nutritional powerhouse and I never get tired of them because there are so many ways you can eat them.”

Finally, his destiny has been fulfilled.
