There was only one person in the “Final Jeopardy!” round Thursday night.
Host Alex Trebek joked the experience would be “an opportunity to get to know each other.”
It was already sad that she was the only person in the round. But what’s even sadder is that she did not get the answer right. The question was: “On Aug. 15, 1994, 59 years and 1 day after FDR signed the original act, Bill Clinton made this an independent agency.” Her answer was “What is the FDIC?” The correct one would have been “What is the Social Security Administration?” However, with a 2-day total of $31,601, she still gets to compete the next day.
