Someone may have taken Lupita Nyong’o’s Oscar dress from a hotel in Hollywood.
The Los Angeles County sheriff’s office received a call Wednesday night that a dress estimated to be worth $150,000 had been taken from the London West Hollywood hotel, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The dress she wore to the Academy Awards Sunday was a Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein gown adorned with 6,000 pearls. TMZ reported that Nyong’o was the victim, but detectives have yet to confirm.
The London Hotel released a statement to E! News saying, “This is a terribly unfortunate situation, and we are working with law enforcement on their investigation.”
