Aykroyd, who also co-wrote the 1984 film, [told _The Hollywood Reporter_](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/dan-aykroyd-new-ghostbusters-cast-767943 "undefined"), “The Aykroyd family is delighted by this inheritance of the _Ghostbusters_ torch by these most magnificent women in comedy.
