Biden and his wife were not home at the time of the shooting, and it is not clear if the shots hit the residence, or if they were even aimed at the residence, the New York _Times_ [reports](http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/19/us/gunshots-fired-outside-of-bidens-delaware-home.html "undefined"). The Secret Service and local police were unable to catch the vehicle.
