The news was [first reported](http://deadline.com/2014/12/frank-dillane-alicia-debnam-carey-cast-the-walking-dead-companion-series-spinoff-1201305129/ "undefined") by Deadline and reports have suggested the project has a title_—Cobalt_—but a source at the network says that name is not correct. The young actors will play the kids of one of the show’s main characters, a female guidance counselor who is not yet cast. Dillaine is her “former druggie” son and Debnam Carey is her “ambitious” daughter. We’re sure this trio will remain a supportive and intact family unit for many seasons of the show … ahem. The spin-off is co-created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson. It will take during the same zombie apocalypse in the original series, but in a different location and possibly at a different time.
