The fourth installment of the scientists-were-so-preoccupied-with-whether-or-not-they-could-that-they-didn’t-stop-to-think-if-they-should series will reveal its first big promo for the June 12 film during Thanksgiving football on NBC. To let everyone know, they’ve sent out a few seconds today. Okay, while we all roll our eyes at the concept of a teaser for a teaser trailer, there are a few interesting tidbits in here for those who are starved for info about what’s been happening on Isla Nublar ever since John Hammond’s big idea to resurrect extinct predators went haywire back in the ’90s. And while the previous doorway led its vehicles through a wilderness, this one opens up to allow a train into what is clearly a much more expansive dinotropolis. The park has gotten huge but needs to consume larger and larger quantities of tourist cash or else it could also go extinct. **#2 –** One of the most memorable sequences in Spielberg’s original (a film packed with unforgettable moments) was the stampede of ostrich-like Gallimimus dinosaurs, who sent our awe-struck heroes “flocking” for cover themselves. This time, we see the same dinosaurs, the same stampede, but cruising safely beside them is a Jurassic World truck full of lookee-loos. **#3 –** This one may be a stretch, but when Bryce Dallas Howard turns around from the bank of computers monitoring the park to share a worried look with with Chris Pratt, another Jurassic World employee, doesn’t it call to mind another over-the-shoulder admonition from 1993?
