The 34-year-old actor will star opposite Lisa Joyce (_The Messenger_) in _Billy & Billie_, a 10-episode DirectTV drama about step-siblings who fall in love, [according to _The Hollywood Reporter_](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/adam-brody-star-neil-labute-746536?utm%5Fsource=Sailthru&utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fterm=hollywoodreporter%5Fbreakingnews&utm%5Fcampaign=THR%20Breaking%20News%5F2014-11-05%2008%3A30%3A00%5Flgoldberg "undefined"). Billy and Billie (obviously) face a great deal of scrutiny from their friends and family as they try to navigate their complicated relationship. After capturing the hearts of many a teen with his sarcastic charm on _The O.C._, Brody struggled to find a role as iconic as Seth Cohen. He got a bit part in _Mr. and Mrs. Smith,_ but was out shined by Brangelina’s budding romance; since then, he’s jumped from cringe-worthy movies like _Jennifer’s Body_ to guest roles on comedies like _New Girl_ and _The League_. It looked like he might get another go at his own show with Amazon’s _The Cosmopolitans_, but that has yet to be ordered to series. Now, Brody is getting a chance to be a TV star again. Plus, he has a movie coming out on VOD with wife (and former _Gossip Girl_ star) Leighton Meester this weekend.
