On top of all the other appearances and host spots NPH has snagged this year, the actor and his husband David Burtka [will both appear](http://tvline.com/2014/10/29/neil-patrick-harris-david-burtka-american-horror-story-freak-show/ "undefined") in episodes of _American Horror Story: Freak Show_ later this season. Harris will join the cast of _Freak Show_ for the 11th and 12th episodes, _TV Line_ reports, in which the _How I Met Your Mother_ star will play a chameleon salesman. Burtka, on the other hand, will appear in the season finale during a “sexy storyline” with Jessica Lange’s character.
