Archie Comics [confirmed](http://archiecomics.com/archie-comics-come-to-television-with-riverdale-tv-series/ "undefined") Thursday that the cable channel is developing a one-hour drama series based on the beloved comic characters_._ The series will follow comic favorites Archie Andrews, Jughead Jones, Veronica Lodge, Betty Cooper and Reggie Mantle, along with a newer addition to the Riverdale world: Kevin Keller, a gay character who was introduced in 2010\. _THR_ adds that the gang will “explore the surrealistic twists of small-town life, in addition to the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath \[their hometown\] Riverdale’s wholesome facade.” The series, which is being produced by Warner Bros.
