Wouldn’t it be so disappointing if Lady Gaga’s new music video for her song “G.U.Y.” _wasn’t_ a maelstrom of utterly strange imagery and even stranger costumes, replete with cameos from _Bravo_ stars?

On Saturday, the pop singer debuted her latest video on NBC’s _Dateline_ before making it available online. And when it comes to bizarreness, the nearly 12-minute clip is solidly Gaga-esque. The video for the song — whose title is an acronym for Girl Under You — opens with the pop singer facedown in a ditch as some kind of woman-bird hybrid with an arrow in her back. From there, as the film unfolds, things only become more peculiar.

## Transcript

A controversial artists forced to defend herself. This is 27- year- old British artist Millie Brown at South By Southwest last week, puking colored milk onto Lady Gaga on stage. That's actually what Millie does for a living. She just usually vomits the milk on to canvases, not people. And those canvases sell for as much as $ 20, 000. But there's one person we know who won't be buying Millie's art. Demi Lovato, the singer who has struggled with an eating disorder, blasted the South By Southwest stunt on Twitter. She wrote, sad, as if we didn't have enough people glamorizing eat disorders already.

Bottom line, it's not cool or artsy at all. She continued, putting the word ART in it isn't a free card to do whatever you want without consequences. Well, Millie took to Twitter to responding. I believe in absolute freedom of expression. Challenging perceptions of art and beauty. If art is your communication it should not be censored. And as people notes, Millie has been adamant that she is not glamorizing eating disorders in past interviews. She wants people to know she does not promote it. Thanks for watching, I'm Bryce Sanders.
