A couple from San Francisco that has been sought since the woman’s three-year-old daughter was found dead in their apartment on Saturday has been arrested, SFGate reports.
Sara Kruger, 23, and Ryan Scott Warner, 26, were taken into custody by the Napa police. The body of the woman’s daughter, three-year-old Kayleigh Slusher, was found after an anonymous tip-off led officers to conduct a welfare check at the couple’s apartment Saturday afternoon. Kruger and Scott Warner had been seen leaving the apartment with luggage earlier in the day.
According to police, the child appeared to have suffered from sexual assault and blunt force trauma.
