_Ghostbusters III_ will reportedly star a female ensemble, and _Ghostbusters_ veteran Bill Murray has some ideas on who those leading ladies should be.

Though Murray won’t star in the movie himself, he suggested a few candidates in an [interview with the Toronto _Star._](http://www.thestar.com/entertainment/tiff/2014/09/07/tiff%5Fbill%5Fmurray%5Fscares%5Fup%5Ffemale%5Fghostbusters%5Fcast%5Fsuggestions.html)

“Melissa \[McCarthy\] would be a spectacular Ghostbuster. And Kristen Wiig is so funny — God, she’s funny!” he said. “I like this girl Linda Cardellini a lot. And Emma Stone is funny. There are some funny girls out there.”

That cast would bring a lot of comedic talent to the movie: McCarthy and Wiig worked together in _Bridesmaids;_ Cardellini, of _Freaks and Geeks_ fame, recently guest starred on _New Girl_ and _Mad Men_; and though she has taken on more dramatic roles of late, Stone got her start as a comedienne in _Easy A_ and _Superbad_.

_Bridesmaids_ director Paul Feig is reportedly in negotiations to direct the sequel.
