A Regal Cinemas theater in Richmond, Va., accidentally showed moviegoers the 2012 animated film [_Rise of the Guardians_](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/guardians-galaxy-theater-repeatedly-shows-722926) instead of _Guardians of the Galaxy_ on Thursday due to an alleged system mix-up. The theater tried to restart the screening and the show the correct film three different times before the remaining movie-goers left to get their money back, according to _The Hollywood Reporter_. A girl in New Jersey also tweeted that her Regal theater in Turnersville made the same mistake. A source familiar with movie theater film distribution [told _Variety_](http://variety.com/2014/biz/news/theater-surprises-guardians-of-the-galaxy-fans-with-wrong-guardians-movie-1201274008/) that _Rise of the Guardians_ was not supposed to have been on the theaters’ servers. Both theaters, however, run a summer movie series for children that included _Rise_, which explains how it ended up in the system and how it may have been mislabeled.
