First things first: Aviva Drescher is the realest. That’s what she’d like you to believe, at least, when she takes off her prosthetic leg and hurls it across the room to make a point about authenticity in the upcoming season finale of The Real Housewives of New York City.
Drescher lost her leg at the age of six after a dairy farm accident in upstate New York, but, as the reality-star-philanthropist-memoirist explains on her website, she “has never let this tragedy define who she is.” Slamming her leg on the table and shouting the already-iconic line, “The only thing that is artificial or fake about me is this,” however, will at least be a defining moment for the Bravo show.
