Julia Collins’ latest win puts her in second place for the most consecutive wins, and she’s already won more money than any other female contestant. “Its been a lot of fun, and I feel like I’ve been very lucky … to be on the show as long as I have,” Collins said in a CNN Interview. Collins has even reportedly quit her business consultant job so she can continue playing _Jeopardy!._ She has a long way to go, however, if she wants first place for the most consecutive wins: Currently, Ken Jennings holds the first place spot with 74 straight victories. ## Transcript [00:00] An Illinois women is well on her way to making [00:02] Jeopardy, history after winning her 19th consecutive [00:05] game Thursday night. Julia Collins has won, 19 times in [00:10] a row. It puts her in second place for the most [00:12] consecutive wins. Already she has won more games [00:15] and money though, than any female contestant. It's [00:18] been a lot of fun and I, feel like I've been very lucky to [00:21] be able to be on the show as long as I have. 31 year [00:24] old Collins' Thursday night victory, officially put her in a [00:26] second place tie for the most consecutive, [00:29] non- tournament wins. The last person to win it 19 [00:32] times in a row was season 22 contestant, David [00:35] Madden. Now, playing in season 30, Collins even [00:38] reportedly quit her business consultant job to keep [00:41] playing the game, but she has a long way to go if she [00:44] wants to beat the top Jeopardy player of all time. That [00:47] would be, Ken Jennings, who won at 74 straight games [00:50] back in season 21. He walked away from the show [00:53] with more than $ 3 million in prize money. Jennings [00:56] had a total of $ 602, 000 after his 18th win, [01:00] which is about 50 % more than Collins had after her's. [01:04] But as the Washington Post points out, during more [01:06] than half of Collins' games so far. The game was over [01:09] before it reached the Double Jeopardy round. In those [01:12] matches, Collins had more than doubled her closest [01:14] competitor's score at the end of the Double Jeopardy [01:16] round. Since players can at most double their scores in [01:19] Final Jeopardy, in those matches Collins could simply [01:21] wager $ 0 and still win. Regardless of whether she [01:25] answered the question correctly. Still Collins is well on [01:28] her way to raking in some serious dough. Thursday [01:30] night's win pushed her cash prize total up to headline [01:33] making $ 410, 000.
