Watch Teachers Read Mean Tweets About Themselves [VIDEO]

1 minute read

The Los Alamitos High School video production club had an idea for their YouTube channel. They wanted the school’s teachers to read the mean tweets that students had posted about them on Twitter in the style of Jimmy Kimmel’s popular segment, Celebrities Read Mean Tweets.

Teachers agreed and as REM’s “Everybody Hurts” played, the teachers read what their students really thought about them, their class and the cocoa butter they use. While some teachers got off easy with semi-anonymous prom proposals, others had to face the fact that their students weren’t impressed with their teaching style.

It was a lesson in humility for the teachers and a reminder to watch what you tweet for the students, because you never know who might end up reading what you write. (Same goes for Internet comments, people.)
