Brad Pitt has filed a restraining order against the man arrested for attacking him Wednesday night at the premiere of Maleficent.
The Fight Club actor filed a temporary restraining order against Vitalii Sediuk, who allegedly hit Pitt in the face on the red carpet, a Los Angeles police spokesperson said. Pitt was attending the event with his wife, Angelina Jolie, who stars in the film.
Sediuk, who has a reputation for assaulting celebrities, was arrested on Wednesday. He was in custody with bail set at $20,000. Emergency restraining orders last five days. Pitt will have to go to court if he wants to extend the order. Sediuk has previously tried to crawl under America Ferrera’s dress at Cannes, grabbed the crotches of Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Cooper on the red carpet, and tried to kiss Will Smith at the premiere of Men in Black 3.
