Betty White: I Was Once Bit By a Swan

On the Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson Tuesday, longtime animal lover Betty White revealed she was once attacked by a swan.

White was traveling through Ohio when she saw a swan down by a river. She decided to stop to look at the animal, she told Ferguson.

“This swan came out and bit me,” White said. “It was like being hit with a baseball bat!”

The swan attack aside, White – who is a longtime supporter of charities like the Morris Animal Foundation – remains an animal lover.

White is currently starring in the show Hot in Cleveland, which returns on June 4th.
