White was traveling through Ohio when she saw a swan down by a river. She decided to stop to look at the animal, she told Ferguson. “This swan came out and bit me,” White said. “It was like being hit with a baseball bat!” The swan attack aside, White – who is a longtime supporter of charities like the Morris Animal Foundation – remains an animal lover.
