Today’s daily Photojournalism Links collection highlights Sebastian Liste’s captivating photographs of Rio de Janeiro’s wealthy elites. Brazil has received a lot of coverage over the past couple of years, but the majority of it has concentrated on the grittier side of society and it’s refreshing to see pictures that concentrate on something less familiar.

Sebastian Liste: Rio’s Richest (The New Yorker Photo Booth)

Brent Stirton: Blind Children Getting Their Sight Back (TIME LightBox) Powerful photographs of Indian children undergoing life-changing eye surgery.

Preston Gannaway: A Virginia Community Looking for a Safe Harbor (The New York Times Lens) Pictures explore the changing character of an East Coast seaside community.

Andrew McConnell: Syria’s Centenarian Refugees (CNN) Portraits of the oldest refugees in their shelters in Northern Lebanon.

Capturing Black Flag Over Kobani (AFP Correspondent) Aris Messinis tells how he managed to photograph the ISIS flags flying over the Syrian city.
