University of Oklahoma-Norman Campus

Norman, OKwww.ou.edu
The University of Oklahoma is a large, super-spirited school full of down-home hospitality. The rigor of the academics varies by major, with engineering and science programs reportedly the most intense. But rest assured, the academic offerings are vast: around 20 colleges and over 150 majors, not to mention over 200 graduate-level concentrations. When they aren't studying, the school's approximately 22,000 undergrad and 10,000 graduate students have a smorgasbord of campus activities to choose from, including a large student government association, significant Southern-style Greek life, intramural sports teams, and clubs suiting any interest. Norman is a classic college town with Sooner flags flying from porches and OU garb adorning students and locals alike. The whole town (and much of the state) lives for Oklahoma football and it's hard to avoid getting caught up in the spirit of "Sooner Magic" during four years here. Nightlife is lively at Campus Corner from Thursday to Sunday, though parties can usually be found any night of the week at off-campus houses or on-campus frats (shhh' it's a "dry" campus). For those not into boozing, regular campus events and Norman's resources offer lots of alternatives.
