Yes, it’s National Beer Day already. The event takes place every April 7, reportedly to celebrate the day in 1933 when President Roosevelt made it legal once again to buy, sell, and drink beer. It could very well be possible, however, that this faux holiday snuck up on you because you didn’t know it existed—or perhaps you don’t remember joining in the festivities last year.
Naturally, one celebrates National Beer Day by … drinking beer! Conveniently, breweries, bars, and other beer sellers around the country make it easier to participate in this highly important holiday by offering deals—and, occasionally, freebies—on tastings, pints, growlers, and more
Sadly, but unsurprisingly, there is no comprehensive roundup of all the National Beer Day deals and festivities out there. (Beer people aren’t always the most organized of folks.) But we’ve gathered a bunch of options below, and will add to it as more surface.
Beer deals are available in multiple locations throughout Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan, including 20% off draught beer to go from the Beer Table and free tastings of Goose Island brews at Michael Jordan’s The Steak House.

A string of breweries and bars in Muncie offer deals like $3 pints, free tastings, and half-price growlers on Thursday.
