Share your money story

Have you overcome a financial hardship or obstacle to achieve a goal? MONEY magazine would like to hear about it.

For a new project, MONEY is looking for people who have accomplished such a milestone to share their story about how they did it.

We’re looking for stories from parents who had to scrimp and save for years to put their kid through school, undergrads who worked weird jobs to pay the bills, or husbands or wives who supported their family after a loved one went into the hospital. We’re looking for people who have argued down faulty credit card bills, entrepreneurs who sacrificed time with family and friends to get their new business off the ground, or people who leveraged a supposed disadvantage into their favor.

Does this sound like you? Whether your story is big or small, funny or sad, we’re hoping you can tell us about it.

If you’d like to participate, fill out the
form below. (We won’t use your story unless we speak with you first.)

Thank you!

Dear MONEY Reader,

As a regular visitor to, we are sure you enjoy all the great journalism created by our editors and reporters. Great journalism has great value, and it costs money to make it. One of the main ways we cover our costs is through advertising.

The use of software that blocks ads limits our ability to provide you with the journalism you enjoy. Consider turning your Ad Blocker off so that we can continue to provide the world class journalism you have become accustomed to.
