Add your voice to the conversationIn partnership with StoryCorps
Join TIME and StoryCorps, the groundbreaking personal history project, in a new effort to take One Small Step toward each other. Rather than spark political debates over topics like guns, through StoryCorps’ One Small Step effort, we encourage people across America to ask and answers questions like:
“Was there a moment, event, or person in your life that shaped your political views?”
“What is most hurtful to you about what people across the political divide say about people on your side and in your life?”
“Do you believe that there are some threads that bind us all together, even when it seems there is more that divides us? What do you think they are?”
“Can you think of any traits you admire in people on the other side of the political divide?”
If you wish to have a One Small Step conversation with a friend, family member, or someone else in your life:
- Record a conversation using the StoryCorps App, using built-in questions and tips that can guide you through. You can tag your interview with the keyword “One Small Step” to join the community.
- Visit one of our permanent StoryBooths in Chicago and Atlanta. When you make your appointment, make a note that you would like to have a One Small Step conversation.
- Visit our MobileBooth, while it tours the United States year-round. When you make your appointment, make a note that you would like to have a One Small Step conversation. Here’s our upcoming tour schedule.
