Send them as soon as possible

I think it’s so great to receive handwritten thank yous. Whether you were given a gift, went on a job interview, or were recently a houseguest, it’s a nice gesture to send a handwritten card expressing your gratitude. An email is better than nothing, but sending some old-fashioned snail mail is ideal in this situation. Also, I believe in sending them out as soon as possible after you receive a gift. It’s much easier to get them out of the way.
