First, Obama [announced two measures](http://time.com/53722/barack-obama-midterm-elections-equal-pay/) to help close the gender wage gap among federal workers. And, in honor of what’s dubbed “[Equal Pay Day](http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2014/04/08/on-equal-pay-day-everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-gender-pay-gap/),” (April 8) thousands took to Twitter using the [#withoutthewagegapiwould](https://twitter.com/search?q=%23withoutthewagegapiwould&src=typd) to share what they would do with the extra cash if there were no difference between what women and men earn for comparable jobs.
