Biden has fielded plenty of [speculation about his presidential hopes](http://time.com/5021408/joe-biden-president-of-the-united-states/) and a potential run in 2020\. Last month, Biden said he’ll [decide whether to run by January](https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/onpolitics/2018/07/17/joe-biden-president-january-decision/793771002/). A 2017 poll suggested that [Biden would beat President Donald Trump](http://time.com/5025221/joe-biden-beats-donald-trump-in-2020-poll/) if the two faced off in 2020\.
