Trump had [retweeted three videos](http://time.com/5040626/trump-britain-first-muslim-video-retweet/) posted by the British ultranationalist group Britain First. The President’s dissemination of the unverified videos, which allegedly show Muslims committing acts of violence and disrespecting Christian symbols, drew [outrage on social media](http://time.com/5040627/britain-first-trump-tweet/). Responding through a spokesperson, May said Trump [should not](http://time.com/5041283/theresa-may-donald-trump-video-muslim-britain-first/) have shared the posts from Britain First, a group that promotes “hateful narratives which peddle lies and stoke tensions.” Trump lashed back, [advising](https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/936037588372283392) May to “focus on the destructive Radical Islamic Terrorism that is taking place within the United Kingdom.
