Moore’s victory signifies a win for the [right-wing of the Republican Party](http://time.com/4956726/roy-moore-luther-strange-alabama-primary/), with [the outspoken former judge](http://time.com/4953360/alabama-senate-race-roy-moore-quotes/) gaining backing from former [Trump chief strategist and Breitbart head Steve Bannon](http://time.com/4953574/luther-strange-roy-moore-alabama-debate/?iid=sr-link4).
