Tomi Lahren and Glenn Beck’s The Blaze Settle Lawsuit

2 minute read

Conservative commentators Tomi Lahren and Glenn Beck have settled a lawsuit over terms of Lahren’s exit from Beck’s media network, the Blaze.

The settlement means that Lahren is no longer bound by her Blaze contract, Buzzfeed News reports, and she is now “the undisputed owner of her Facebook page.” The pair agreed to the settlement Monday after a public dispute in which Lahren sued The Blaze for control of her social media accounts after she said she was fired.

“Ms. Lahren is relieved to have this litigation behind her and she looks forward to connecting with her audience and fan base on the pressing political issues facing our country in the days to come,” said Lahren’s attorney, Brian Lauten, in an email to Buzzfeed News.

The Blaze had cancelled Lahren’s show following pro-choice comments she made on “The View,” but Beck had insisted that The Blaze still employed and paid Lahren according to her contract. As part of the settlement, Lahren will give The Blaze “its intellectual property that was posted on her Facebook page” while she was employed there, Lauten told Buzzfeed. He would not disclose further terms of the settlement.

The Blaze said in a statement to Buzzfeed News that it’s “pleased to announce that the relationship with Tomi Lahren has concluded.”
