[Melissa McCarthy’s turn](http://time.com/4660549/melissa-mccarthy-sean-spicer-saturday-night-live-donald-trump/) as a gum-chomping, water gun-toting White House Press Secretary [Sean Spicer](http://time.com/4668069/melissa-mccarthy-sean-spicer-saturday-night-live-watch/) on [_Saturday Night Live_](http://time.com/4665207/saturday-night-live-alec-baldwin-donald-trump/) has been wildly popular.

Spicer even commented, telling [_Extra_](http://ti.me/2kj4wv1) that McCarthy “needs to slow down on the gum chewing,” and suggesting she “dial back.” This past week, however, _SNL_ did not take him up on that advice.

So how does McCarthy’s impersonation compare to Spicer in real life? Answering that question requires a supercut of the biggest moments from both sketches alongside clips from real White House briefings.

[00:26] think that the words that are being used to describe it
[00:29] are derived from what the media is calling this. He's
[00:32] using your words when you use the words and he uses
[00:34] them back. That truly, that clearly is a betrayal of what
[00:37] she's- Define the word. I'm not gonna define the word,
[00:40] Glen. Yeah, [ LAUGH ] You had to have known that I
[00:42] would ask that question. Okay, sit down Glenn. Just by
[00:46] a show of hands, who here hates Glenn? [ LAUGH ]
[00:49] RIght. Everybody. One, two, three, infinity. He told him
[00:52] he has their back and they were grateful for that. They
[00:56] gave him a five minute standing ovation at the end.
[00:59] The crowd greeted him with a standing ovation.
[01:00] [ LAUGH ] Which lasted a full 10 minutes! [ LAUGH ]
[01:01] And you can shut the tape
[01:07] on that. Everyone was smiling. The statement
[01:11] was written with the help of an individual who's about
[01:15] Jewish and the descendants of holocaust survivors.
[01:17] First of all, how could the statement, the statement be
[01:21] anti submitted? The guy who wrote it was super Jewish.
[01:25] You know he mentioned Chicago. Their murder rate's
[01:28] up 45, 50 %. The murder rate is over 80 %. 80 % of
[01:30] the people in Chicago
[01:34] have been murdered and are dead! [ LAUGH ] I
[01:38] think this was less about his family business and an
[01:41] attack on his daughter. Now that's Nordstrom's loss.
[01:43] [ LAUGH ] Because these are high, high quality
[01:46] products. In fact, I'm wearing one of her bangles right
[01:48] now. [ LAUGH ] It's beautiful, it's shimmery, it's
