Hollywood’s best and brightest gathered at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, Jan. 8 for the 74th Golden Globe Awards. La La Land broke Golden Globes records for most wins, scooping up seven awards, including ones for best actor, best actress and best screenplay. Moonlight won the Golden Globe for best motion picture in the drama category.
Cecil B. DeMille Award honoree Meryl Streep used her acceptance speech to call out President-elect Donald Trump, criticizing him for using his power to bully and humiliate others. “Disrespect incites disrespect,” she said. “Violence incites violence.”
Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the three-hour ceremony aired live on NBC. Celebrity presenters included Drew Barrymore, Matt Damon, Nicole Kidman and Zoë Saldana.
