Chicago Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta wasted no time gloating. After Donald Trump won the presidency, the 2015 Cy Young Award winner, and current world champ, needled celebrities who said they’d flee the country if Donald Trump was elected president.

Other Trump supporters in the sports world were slightly more gracious in victory. UFC president Dana White went for the celebratory tongue-wagging emoji.

While Kansas City Royals pitcher Dillon Gee dug up [The Carlton](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zS1cLOIxsQ8 "undefined").

Golfer John Daly offered a straight-up kudos:

Other athletes—in particular NBA players—expressed their disappointment in Trump’s victory.

And Sacramento Kinds guard Garrett Temple:

Athletes, like all Americans, will be discussing the 2016 election for a long time. Unless you’re Tom Brady. Trump said on the campaign trail Monday that Brady informed Trump that he had voted for him. Though Brady’s wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, [said ](http://www.etonline.com/news/202293%5Fgisele%5Ftom%5Fbrady%5Fdonald%5Ftrump/ "undefined")on Instagram that the couple did not support Trump. “I talked to my wife and she said I can’t talk about politics anymore,” [said Brady ](http://sports.yahoo.com/news/is-tom-brady-happy-for-donald-trump-wife-gisele-wont-let-him-talk-about-it-anymore-171308340.html "undefined")on Wednesday. “I think that’s a good decision for our family.”
