During [Tuesday night’s high-stakes presidential election](http://time.com/4561400/election-results-2016-hillary-clinton-donald-trump/), [Lady Gaga](http://time.com/4548848/lady-gagas-dive-bar-tour-trayvon-martin-joanne/) took to the streets of Manhattan in the early morning hours to let the public know how she felt about the election results.

The [_Joanne_ singer](http://time.com/4550981/lady-gaga-fourth-no-1-album-joanne/) staged a protest outside of Trump Tower, where Donald Trump’s campaign headquarters were located.

Gaga, a prominent supporter of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton stood on a sanitation truck and held a sign that read “Love Trumps Hate;” earlier in the week, the [singer had performed and spoken at a rally for Clinton](http://time.com/4562397/lady-gaga-michael-jackson-jacket/).

Later in the night, Gaga tweeted out a photo of she and Black Lives Matter activist DeRay McKesson, writing to her followers to “In a room full of hope, we will be heard. Stand up for kindness, equality, and love.”
