Prince fans will get to hear several never-before-released songs from the late legendary artist next year.
Warner Bros. Records on Thursday announced it will release a 40-track album, Prince4Ever, which will contain dozens of the music icon’s greatest hits, including When Doves Cry, 1999, U Got the Look, Diamonds and Pearls and Nothing Compares 2 U, according to Entertainment Weekly. The compilation album’s release date is set for Nov. 22.
It will be followed sometime in 2017 by the debut of a second disc that features previously unreleased material and a remastered version of Purple Rain. Prince’s vault of music may hold thousands of unreleased songs, EW reports.
Warner Bros. said Prince agreed to the upcoming albums before he died on April 21. He was 57.
